About Travis Pederson
"The Hypnotic Coach"

Travis Pederson CHt.

This page should really be called "About Me", because I'm the one who writes it, after all. Onwards!

Far from the Svengali-type stage hypnotist, or the slick personal development guru, I'm just a normal guy, albeit a bit of a nerd when it comes to hypnosis and finding out what makes people "tick." Besides my training and experience, it really doesn't take any special ability to do what I do - just a natural curiosity and ability to learn.

If you're looking for a therapist, you probably won't find that here either. The truth is, I'm not interested in being a therapist, a counselor or anyone else who might try to 'fix' you. Why? Because you're not broken! Instead, I prefer to think of myself as a coach. As your coach, my job is to expect and appreciate more of you than you do of yourself; to be a reflective mirror so you can clearly see what's been holding you back, and to be a bit of a guide when you're ready to make a change for the better. While it's true that some issues may take longer than others to resolve, it's also true that it only takes an instant to have the sudden shift in awareness that reconnects you to your own power and potential. The work that we'll be doing is meant to facilitate this shift, and after it happens, you don't need me anymore to remind you of what you already know. Don't expect me to just use hypnosis during our time together. As your coach, I'm committed to using whatever methods I have available to help you live with greater purpose, passion and freedom, and to support you in creating a natural harmony and balance within yourself, your family, your workplace and your community.

What I Am:

What I Am Not:

What I Won't Do:

How is it that you can benefit today? Here are a few of the typical benefits that can be yours and that research supports:

Over the past 5 years as a hypnotist and coach, I've helped my clients through every challenge imaginable. To put it in perspective for you: I've had clients walk into my office on the brink of suicide and walk out with a new lease on life, I've had pack a day smokers go on with their lives after a 90-minute session and never want to smoke a cigarette ever again, chronically compulsive eaters and yo-yo dieters develop a new sense of freedom and control about the foods they eat, obsessive compulsive 'germ phobics' being able to relax in their home for the first time in many years, clients previously terrified of flying being happy, willing and able to fly anywhere they want, people stricken with chronic anxiety for most of their lives finally finding lasting, natural relief, entrepreneurs and business owners blasting past previous limitations, families reunited after years and years of conflict, and so many more amazing cases and people I've had the pleasure of working with that I haven't mentioned here. I'm not telling you this to brag, but rather to let you know that whatever you're dealing with, if you feel blocked or if your struggling to make progress, even if you've tried everything and nothing seems to work, there is a way to move forward and to have the quality of life you want.

I know that making the decision to begin any kind of private change work is not one that is made lightly, and that allowing someone to help you with your challenges may be a big step for you. Most of my clients start off with these types of hesitations and after a casual meeting, most of them decide to move forward. At least 90% of my clients have never experienced hypnosis before and most have never done personal coaching before either. I'm always aware of this, so I do my best to make the experience a comfortable and enjoyable one.

That's about all for now. Please enjoy the rest of this website - I've spent a great deal of time making it what it is. Thanks for taking the time to read through this little introduction to myself, I hope you've enjoyed it and I'd be great to meet you in person one day!

Take care,

P.S... If you haven't already, go back to the main page and sign up for "The Secrets of Deep Relaxation" audio program. It's completely free, and it's meant as a bit of an introduction to self-hypnosis. It'll teach you how to relax the "right" way...something we could all use more of!

Mission Statement
"Game Plan"

As a more integrated delivery branch of the work that I've been doing for most of my life (and something like a first-born child) Rethink Hypnotherapy Inc. was brought into this world on May 12, 2008. As the little coaching business grew up, it's name changed to The Hypnotic Coach. There's been a variety of other changes over the past few years, but the mission remains the same: to help you resolve your challenges quickly and naturally, while remaining true to your own values and purpose in life.

It's not just about hypnotizing all your problems away - although that would be great, it's about understanding on a deep level that any difficulties you may be dealing with have a cause and when the cause is resolved, just like pulling out the roots of a tree, the rest of the problem collapses as well.

You are unique, and so are the challenges you are dealing with. As such, the causes of each are unique also; it could be an internal conflict that blocks you from thinking, acting or feeling how you want, it could be a conflict in your close relationships, or it could be in the community you live in. No man or woman is an island and you didn't get here by accident; unseen and often unknown forces have molded you into the person you are today, for better and for worse. You are part of a larger system and by understanding this, you'll also begin to understand that the difficulties you face are often systemic in nature - relating to body/mind systems, relationship systems, organizational systems and societal systems. Systemic problems are best solved by getting clear on what you really want and then applying strategic, systemic solutions.

The Hypnotic Coach is committed to providing these strategic solutions to all who live in the greater Edmonton area and to provide exceptional value and service to each client so that they may be made aware of their own potential and personal power. The foundational belief is that all positive change takes place first at the personal level and ripples outward to family, friends and society as a whole. This is accomplished by:

Privacy Policy

My privacy policy is simple. I will never divulge your personal information, or anything shared in session, to any person or organization without your explicit written consent. The one exception is if your client records are requested by court order in the process of a criminal investigation.

It is very important to me that you are 100% comfortable with this privacy policy. I take my clients' privacy very seriously. If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to contact me.
